Paula G. Kirby earned her J.D. Degree from the University of Tennessee where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tennessee Law Review, one of the oldest law reviews in the United States. She was licensed to practice law in Arizona in 1983 and in California in 1995.
Paula is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona, the State Bar of California, the Maricopa County and Scottsdale Bar Associations, and has taught seminars for those organizations, as well as for the Family Law Council of Community Property States. She currently serves as the 2010-2011 Co-Chair of the Vulnerable Adults and Special Needs Families Committee and Vice Chair for the Tax Committee of the ABA's Family Law Section. Paula is a liaison to the ABA Committee on Law and Aging.
Paula's substantial experience includes commercial and corporate litigation, probate litigation, guardianship and conservatorship litigation and family law litigation. She litigates in Arizona's civil, family and probate courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, has appeared as counsel in the United States Court for the District of Arizona, and as appellate counsel in the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
